(Glossary Explained)This term is defined in the glossary.
Bioassays

There are two methods of performing bioassays. One method is designed to work on mosquito larvae while the other is for mature adult mosquitos. Both require their own separate materials and preparations.

self-paced practice questions follow each section

Bottle Bioassay (for adult samples)
to complete this module it will take approximately 1.5 hours.

Larval Bioassay (for larval samples)
to complete this module it will take approximately 1.2 hours.

Bottle/Beaker Calibration
this is needed in order to know the concentrations of insecticide that should be used in the bioassays. Please review the bioassay directions above first.

Interpretation of Results
Learn how to plot and analyze the outcomes of the bioassays in order to create reports of experiments.

Included in each section above are checklists of materials needed from commercial suppliers (they can also be found in the resources section).
