Web Browsers

Web browsers can be configured with various settings, including what to do with cookies, java scripts, etc.. Risk to your PC, and CDC IT assets, depends on how these settings are configured. Conversely, what can be done at a particular site will depend on how the browser is configured, thus there is a trade-off of protection versus flexibility and functionality. Your LAN Administrator can identify the standards which apply to your PC. For your part, do not change security settings on your browser without a written OK from the LAN Administrator.
