Union Bay

It was such a great Sunday morning that we went to the University of Washington and rented a canoe for a couple of hours and addled around the the bay.  We went around Foster Island which is a nature preserve.  There were a number of others with similar idea but there wetlands are so extensive it was easy to be undisturbed by the other boaters.  The birds were so used to people that they would swim right up to the boat.

If you scroll to the bottom of this page you will see a google satellite image of where we paddled.
